Commission your own abstract painting
Create a painting of your own to bring your memories to life.
Whether it’s your own motherhood journey, a special event like a wedding or anniversary, or any moment worth remembering, commission your very own painting.
We'll talk through the moments and feelings you want held onto (a wedding reception toast, a wild toddler morning, late nights and early mornings, the exhaustion and the tenderness together). The painting comes directly from what you've shared with me, interpreted rather than replicated, and so there is no sketching stage. I'll jump straight into painting, with the feelings coming from our conversation, working in acrylic paint and oil pastel.
Capturing a feeling
My paintings are based on my memories of early motherhood, and the adventures I catch in glimpses: my baby’s fast, determined feet as she gets close to an edge, half a look at the blowing grasses while my girls run off in different directions and I try to scoop them both up.
That’s the energy I translate into my paintings.
The process
Once you’ve booked your commission by paying the deposit above, I’ll send you a few questions to get to know you and a link for you to book our call. We’ll then have a briefing call, which is essentially a conversation to help me understand what you’d like to capture.
After this, I’ll send you a proposal including materials and format for your painting. We can also discuss framing options, which are a bespoke additional cost. I work with an artisan framers who also frame work for the Tate, so you’re in good hands.
After you confirm you’re happy with the proposal, I’ll begin work and your painting will be competed within a minimum of six weeks.
The price is bespoke and dependent on the format we decide upon together. I am happy to work in small or large scale.
Clients on past briefs have told me
"I am blown away with what you've created! You have captured the tone so perfectly",
“We both agree this is awesome. This is PERFECT.”
That same instinct carries into how I interpret what you share with me.
