Where the Footsteps Planted follows a hot summer of adventures with my daughters, from tumbles through countryside wildflowers to joyful picnics on scorched earth. This painting celebrates the joy that gathers in the familiar shapes of everyday life. It’s a series of six abstracts studies in one piece, much like how motherhood makes you hold many things at once.
