'Somerset Echinaceas, From Before' original painting
Painted after a scorching trip to Somerset with my young family, these echinaceas stood tall under a heavy summer sky, petals drooping naturally, faces still lifted to the light. They seemed to hold something of early motherhood: rising each day, reaching for joy even when it's hard. A small study in resilience, for anyone who knows what it means to keep blooming, in their own way.
