Last painting remaining

It’s a nice feeling to have pieces find homes and owners that seem to fit them to a tee, and I’m very glad that three pieces from this colletcion have done so. The pair of dusky florals have found their way to a mother and daughter in Tuscany and the landscape ‘Walking By’ has a new spot closer to home in London, on a beautiful soft brown bedroom wall. So it’s just ‘Amber Bloom’ remaining from this collection.

It’s such a beautiful piece, celebrating late summer and early autumn hues, painted on excess upholstery fabric in watercolour-like acrylic and soft pastel. It works well with a classic off-white mount or with a statement colour. Alternately, it could be framed as ‘Walking By’ will be, float mounted in a transparent glass frame to allow the canvas edges to shine and the wall colour behind to provide an almost shadow mount.
