Works in progress: When It Blooms

I’ve been exploring composition and expression with some studies for a commission. The commission is for a painting of a bridal bouquet for a newly married couple’s new home and it feels important to get right. I normally just jump straight in without sketching and take this approach with my studies too, thinking through with paint before moving onto the larger canvas. They’re forming a collection called ‘When It Blooms’ and I’m enjoying adding to this with new compositions of memories made.
